A poem about awakening and resisting

It might take me a minute to untangle from false illusions and tainted ideas. It might take me a moment to disengage from an overstimulated reality, to purge the poisons that poured into ears, an emptied mind, a naïve spirit.

I bought into the lies and manipulation, politely renouncing rights and voice in the name of conformity. My soul ravaged as I continued to smile and play my part…

To fit in, to be “nice.”

Blend in,
disappear,
become nothing.

But give everything.

It might take me a moment to piece together the shattered parts of a corrupted mind. To unplug from hypnotic messages of division and scarcity and fear. To meet my inner compass, away from drama and distractions. To realign with what I know is right and true and human and kind.

This energy can’t be killed.

It ripples like a thundering revolution of the soul, radiating light for love and a free world we were promised all along.

What inspired this poem?

I wrote this during my time in New Age, while exploring occult practices and questioning mainstream narratives. It reflects some feelings I had about those findings (and I had plenty), but also about myself. Specifically how much I shut down to be liked or accepted by others. Even though I no longer believe in aliens or “Starseeds” (thankfully – now saved and following Jesus), I still see the harshness of the world: the corruption, the emotional manipulation, and the years I spent silencing myself as a conditioned people-pleaser.

For me, awakening is refusing to conform to inhumane doctrination or woke propagandait’s about asking questions.

It’s about being courageously unconventional, exposing facades, and speaking Truth into darkness. Not always easy, but so necessary and needed today.
